Regulate.
Start with what’s happening right now. Notice the tension, the pace, the impulse to react. Make space to pause and choose how you respond.
Find your footing.
A different kind of strength
You’ve learned how to face the chaos.
Now, make room for what’s underneath.
Operation Stillness is a place for veterans, first responders, and anyone learning to reconnect with themselves after living in survival mode.
Discover Operation Stillness
01 / The mission
Strength can mean facing what’s real without running, fixing, or pretending. Operation Stillness grew from the need for a place to do that work, honestly and at your own pace.
Through mindfulness, guided journaling, and grounded practices for nervous system regulation, we explore how to stay present when the pressure is on. How to reconnect with your body. How to remember who you are underneath the armor.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need a place to start.
The practice
Start with what’s happening right now. Notice the tension, the pace, the impulse to react. Make space to pause and choose how you respond.
Find your footing.
Slow down enough to hear yourself again. Pay attention to your body, your relationships, and the parts of life that survival mode pushed aside.
Come back to what matters.
There’s more to you than what you’ve carried. Give yourself room to know who you are beyond the roles, the expectations, and the armor.
Meet yourself again.
02 / My story
A personal search.
A quieter beginning.
My search for inner peace began in 1993. For nearly twenty years, I kept searching for something that would finally bring relief.
I explored Zen, Nonduality, Advaita, Christian mysticism, and Gnosticism. I read, trained, sat, and searched.
Then, in 2013, in a moment so simple it almost went unnoticed, the chase stopped. That wasn’t the end of the journey. It was the beginning of learning how to live differently.
Operation Stillness grew out of that lived experience: the struggle, the searching, and the quiet moments that followed. It’s where I share reflections, practices, and tools for slowing down, grounding yourself, and reconnecting with what’s underneath it all.
I hope what you find here helps you in your own way, on your own terms.
